The images and sentiments used on the card are from Skipping Stones Designs' Coffee #2. I used three of the coffee cup images to make this simple pop-up card. I used Copic markers to color all three of the coffee cup images and also to add dimension to the large flower images. Each of the smallest flower images also has Spectrum Noir clear sparkle on them.
The pop-up mechanism is simply a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the width of the things I wanted to move when the card is open. Mine needed to be 1" wide. I made it 5" tall because the images are fairly tall.. To make the mechanism, fold your piece of cardstock in half and then in half again. The end pieces get attached equally to the area just above and below the card's crease. The mechanism should lay flat against both the top and bottom of the card. Attach the pop-ups to the quarter let free on the bottom of the card's crease and you're done. (The is actually really simple but sounds from my description!)
I provided a little "counter for the cups to sit on and the message would go beneath it.
Cheers to hot tea . . . the rest of you can have the coffee!
