My first card today relies heavily on the luscious papers from the kit. I cut a section from one of the printed papers that is gray on white. I added a contrasting paper behind it. Then, I fussy cut the matching flower from another printed papers and embellished it with Glossy Accents and black/brown Souffle pen. After tying on a smidge oftwine, I attached it over the gray flower.
For me, the best part of this card is the incongruous nature of the images and the sentiment, which I plan to use a lot in the future!
It is hard to tell from the picture below that the owl is holding the sentiment strip in his beak. I added Glossy Accents to his eyes and beak. I just cannot get enough of the printed paper!
My last card for the hop is an anniversary card featuring two of the owls. The girl owl (red) is on an action wobbler, so she really shakes her tail feathers when you touch her! The male owl (brown-black) is actually a picture of my first husband - never wated to go out and do things, was wise on old car repair, baseball, and classical vocal music . . .all things I was not. (Seriously, age matters when you're in your early 20's. We couldn't have been farther apart with him being in his early 30's.) In other words the two are a typical couple!
Next up on the bunny trail is Lisa at Rockin Paper and Scissors and Glue.
Thanks for dropping by, and I hope to see you again soon!
