Join us for the "Love Your Pets Blog Hop" from April 21st - April 29th, where each card featuring a Jessica Lynn Original stamp uploaded to the JLO blog using the linky provided, gets a .50 donation to Lucky Mutts Rescue! For each uploaded card that features another company's pet stamp, Lucky Mutts will get 20 cents.
And just for the heck of it, there will even be a donate link on the JLO blog, so you can just make a donation! (Not everyone is a stamper? WHAT? SMH ...) A little something for everybody!
So here's the secret. I purchased an expensive set of brushes to use for creating soft, no-line backgrounds. They are large and kind of unwieldy. And did I mention expensive? After shelling out the cash for the set, I came across A LOT of posts where folks were using makeup brushes that work just as fine or even better than the fancy art brushes I bought.
I happened to have a lot of the make-up brushes around, so I thought I'd give it a try on this little girl. I started brushing her then realized I hadn't put any ink on the brush, BUT THERE WAS COLOR ON THE DOG! Yep. I'd grabbed a brush I'd already used and the makeup still on it was transferring to the corgi! I ended up adding some Copic marker to give a little dimension, but liked the way she looked wearing my makeup too much to change the color.
Now that you know my dirty little secret, I hope you'll try it out for yourself. You know, just in case you might have a naked spaniel that needs some color!
