There are already a few firecrackers being set off here and the stands don't officially open until tomorrow. Oh, how I wish this holiday were better regulated.
I've decided to try using essential oils for my two dogs who literally go insane with the loud sounds. I checked out YouTube for using essential oils and it looks like a possible solution to the trauma - mine and the dogs - of the Fourth of July!
So, enough whining and onto this fantastic/fantastically complicated card I made using Club Scrap's "Pattern Play" kit. "Pattern Play" is a very masculine kit with lots of graphic stamps, including the one I used to make this fireworks card. I cut out several of the "explosion" stamps from a bigger set of "explosion" stamps and one embossing color at a time, built up the fireworks scene.
I wanted to show the lift of the fireworks, so I added some really tiny rhinestones to a trajectory line of the front explosions.
I really think the sentiment that came as part of a lot of terrific sentiments PERFECTLY complements the fireworks.
I entered this card into Dragonfly Journey's "Red, White, and Blue" challenge.
