The Halloween set from The Project Bin, "Haunt It," really upped my Halloween card game! The thing I appreciate most is the playful element in a classy graphic. I made the shape card with dies and added a few embellishments that I think make the card. The stars in the corner were simple brads I put Stickles on to glamour them up! The bottom card turned out to be a happy surprise. All the pieces, most of which were stickers, came together nicely on a simple card. I kept the sentiment in the die and added color which provided its own matting. More of those awesome Dollar Tree plastic dots at the top. If you haven't made your way there to pick some up, go now! Bring on Fall and Halloween! |

I know, I know. "Why is Kelly making Christmas cards instead of snow/winter cards this year?" Relax.! The heathen is still in the house. Bottom line? I'm a sucker for cute Christmas paper and now I have a reason for using it!
I've used a sentiment from The Project Bin's "Maybe Christmas" and created a card with an unusual fold, as well a heart that was made by dipped it in super-thick embossing powder and heating it four times to give it dimension and sheen. Does that closure remind anyone else of the report card envelopes we used to get in grade school? I always fussed with the closure, not sure if the figure eight or the straight loop was the way to go! |
