I used Copic markers to color the frog and the birthday hat and then grounded the frog by putting a neutral color underneath him. I used the Copic blender marker to ease out some of the color on the hat, so I could add in different colors for more fun! For even more fun, I used the Stampin' Up! Art Air Tool - one of my all time favorite tools - and an SU! marker to blow some specks onto the frog. Whee!
Next, I fussy cut out the colored frog, leaving out the ribbons coming out of the hat, and adhered it to a blank frog panel I'd cut to fit just inside the card front. with a blue layer to enhance the main image.
Finally, I stamped pencil eraser dots on the background and added Stickles to the them. And then I added some of my second favorite tool, Wink of Stella, to the hat and ribbons and made the little guy shiny with Glossy Accents. Fini!
And if you're getting this card for your birthday - pretend to be surprised!
