Took the dogs to the off-leash park today, and don't you know we came to a fork in the "road" and took it! When I first saw this sentiment from The Project Bin's "Wise Men" set, this is what immediately came to my mind - a hand holding a fork. That's my word play on Berra's classic line. |
This birthday card would be going straight to Grandma Schrader if she was still living. (I mentioned her several posts back.) She was, without question, the best person I've known in my life. When we kids were little and things on the homefront were rocky, as they usually were, she and Grandpa found ways to distract us and make the time with them fun. Here's a short list of my memories about GGS: |
1. Clown Town and The Big Slide 2. Moo Goo Gi Pan (First Chinese food ever!) 3. The pull-string Christmas bell 4. Sleeping on the front porch 5. "TV dinners" and The Wild, Wild West and The Avengers (or Long Hair, Short Hair as we called it!) | 6. The Wizard of Oz, Village of the Damned, and Harvey 7. First Barbie doll 8. Saturday afternoon tea parties 9. Going to the pool 10. The Charleston and Errol Flynn |
