For anyone confused about the title of this post, "Neewollah" (Halloween spelled backwards) was a mystical chant noted in the Labor Day weekend celebration in William Inge's play-turned-movie, "Picnic," which was filmed in Inge's south central Kansas, including the place I call home, NIckerson. I also played the female lead, Madge, in the play, back when I was young and thin.
C'mon, Neewollah!
