The Thanksgiving card did not have any stamped images. I used some awesome cardstock that I don't remember the name of. Maybe this weekend I'll be able to uncover the rest of the sheet and update this with a name.
The Winter card uses stamps from Purple Onion Designs. The artist is Stacey Yakula, and boy, does this gal have talent! Everyone of her stamps is cute and works well together. I used Birch (Winter Bunny) and Snowy (Winter Owl) from her "Winter Wishes" collection.
In order to get a snowy look in the background and the foreground, I heat embossed snowflakes onto transparency film, which held up really well to the heat. (I expected it to warp or buckle, which it didn't do.)
Sometimes I wish the ideas that pop into my head were less complicated than they turn out to be!
More cards from the in-between-blogs days!
Here are a couple of projects I did with a set from The Project Bin. The first one is an accordion book made using "Cowgirl Up." "Cowgirl Up" has four sentiments as well as the star you see on the front cover of the book. (The cutie in the photos is one of my many nieces.) The second is a card using another sentiment. It took about six tries to get the edge die to work correctly and by that time I didn't even care if the bottom was not symmetrical!
It's Just Me!
Librarian, crafter, pet mom, and thrift store shopper who can fritter a day away like nobody else. Well, except for you maybe. Let's be friends!
